Ramon Palacio is the firm’s Supervising Partner and represents condominium and homeowners associations throughout the State of Florida. Mr. Palacio regularly advises associations in the interpretation of their governing documents, the enforcement of their covenants and restrictions, board governance and operational issues, contract drafting, negotiation and dispute resolution, regulatory compliance matters, arbitration, and litigation.
Ramon Palacio is a Board Certified Specialist in Condominium and Planned Development Law, reflecting the highest level of evaluation by the Florida Bar as to the competency and experience of attorneys in their certification practice area. He holds an AV Preeminent® rating (the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards) from Martindale-Hubbell, and holds a Super Lawyers rating, a distinction shared by less than 2.5% of the attorneys in Florida.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Palacio worked with a leading South Florida condominium developer overseeing condominium developments in four counties and handled hundreds of residential sales transactions from contract to closing. He has an extensive background in law enforcement and has been awarded dozens of commendations and recognitions. Additionally, Mr. Palacio serves in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, where he holds the rank of Lt.Col. He has dedicated thousands of hours to community service and is involved in emergency response, disaster relief and search and rescue.
Mr. Palacio is an experienced educator, having taught undergraduate courses in business and employment law, and has provided workplace training in best practices for the management of human capital and defensive strategies for avoiding employment-related liability, including harassment and discrimination claims. Mr. Palacio has facilitated continuing education courses for Community Association Managers, has authored articles on condominium and homeowners association law and management, and has been quoted in various industry publications.
Mr. Palacio received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, with honors including Law Review. He earned a Masters in Management degree with a concentration in Human Resources from American Public University and earned the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resource Management from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
