Steve Steckler focuses his practice on a variety of real estate and community association matters including the transition of control of associations from developers to unit owners. Steve serves as general counsel to condominium and homeowners association clients throughout Florida and has substantial experience conducting association board member elections in compliance with statutory and administrative requirements. Steve regularly assists clients in the drafting, amending, enforcing and interpreting of community association governing documents and has represented parties in a wide array of contract negotiations including commercial leases, vendor engagements, and construction projects.
Prior to joining ALG, Steve worked with the in-house counsel of an international real estate development and asset management company primarily invested in hotels and mixed-use projects in the U.S. and Asia. Steve received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the University of Miami Law Review and successfully represented low-income housing tenants in eviction matters.
